It is the name I gave my home page website [in 1996; see the What's Up comments].

"Why Locus 2000?"

Have you browsed The Nexus Gate? What about Troy DeMonbreun's home page? Which link are you most likely to click on? That's why. Locus, as in a collection of points (links). 2000, because everything is better if you put 2000 at the end of it.

"What's with the image map?"

Thanks for asking. It took an embarrassingly long time to develop. I hate it but can't spend much more time right now trying to improve it. I used POVRay to generate it and mapedit to create the map.

"What were you saying about the graphics?"

Oh yeah, that... for best results you should view this page from my PC. Failing that, 32K colors and Netscape 1.1 [wow, check that out!] should be sufficient. Both are money well spent, I can't believe how much nicer the surfing is after upgrading my video adapter.

"Who's asking these questions?"

Beats me but whoever he is, he's a marvelous straight man, isn't he? I've about run out of answers, except to say that if for some reason you can't navigate the map, you can still get to most all my stuff from the links below it.
